Why I Built This
Hi, I'm Kelly Vanderbeek.
I build apps for a living, but spelling and vocabulary always felt like a weakness. I'd look up a word, forget it by Tuesday. Every spelling app I tried was the same: endless flashcards or confetti-wrapped drills with no explanation of why English works the way it does.
Adults who care about words deserve better than that. So I built something with real depth: missions, etymology, audio — and a system that actually teaches why English works the way it does.
I built what I actually wanted. Something with discipline.
The first week I used it, I finally understood why "philosophy" is spelled the way it is. Greek roots don't lie.
